Amanda Roraback is the author of the Nutshell Notes series of books including "Iraq in a Nutshell," "Islam in a Nutshell," "Iran in a Nutshell," "Israel-Palestine in a Nutshell," "Afghanistan in a Nutshell," and "Pakistan in a Nutshell." In 2008, she'll be adding "China in a Nutshell" to the Nutshell Notes series.

Amanda has received a Bachelors and Masters degree in history and completed three years of work towards a PhD. degree in Soviet history at UCLA.
