Southern California Social Science Association
First Timers Professional Development Scholarship
To Attend California Council for the Social Studies
50th Annual Conference: March 4-6, 2011
Members of the newly merged Southern California Social Science
Association/Los Coyotes Council for the Social Studies who have
never attended the annual California Council for the Social studies
Conference (CCSS) are invited to apply for a Profession Development
Scholarship to attend the CCSS 50th Annual Conference, March 4-6,
2011 at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento. To learn more about the

Open to all SCSSA/Los Coyotes members
3 scholarships will be awarded
Scholarship will pay for substitute coverage for one day: March 4
and 1 conference registration
Total Scholarship will not exceed $400
Scholarship does not cover travel/hotel expenses
Applicants will by notified by February 18, 2011
Winners will be required to submit a short one-page report on the
conference experience to be posted on the SCSSA website. Winners
will also be recognized at the SCSSA Awards Banquet on May 5, 2011.
